October 23 & 24: Fall Cider Pressing & Wine Tasting at Old World Libations.

Our state’s signature fruit is in season! While we can indeed get apples at the grocery store year-round, the finest, freshest, most delicious bounty comes in the late summer and fall. Old World Libations in Monroe County invites you to celebrate the harvest.

Watch Old World Libations press fresh, unpasteurized apple cider using seven varieties of apples to produce the most flavorful cider possible!

Slated for Saturday, October 23rd and Sunday the 24th, from 12 PM – 6 PM, join them for their 4th Annual Cider Pressing & Wine Tasting event. Owned and operated by April and Scott Ernst, they welcome you to watch them press fresh, unpasteurized apple cider using seven varieties of apples to produce the most flavorful cider possible!

The cider demonstrations will be done using older and new equipment.

Briana Blye, writes: “Beautiful place with a friendly staff. We enjoyed tasting all the wines and meads along with the delicious food. We will definitely visit again when in the area!”

You will experience the sounds and scenic view of Indian Creek, the ground covered with sawdust, and the sweet smell of the fresh-pressed apple juice creating an atmosphere that will put a smile on everyone’s face. The cider demonstrations will be done using older and new equipment. April and Scott tell us that “the kids love to watch the demonstration of the old press. Of course, we do have a newer one which is much faster, but it’s fun to show kids how to press the apples and to taste it as it’s coming out of the presser at its raw form.”

BONUS: You can order a wine flight that consists of two ounces of four different wines!

There will also be art and craft vendors, wine tastings, a variety of foods, brews, an opportunity to explore the winery gift shop featuring locally made crafts, and fresh cider for purchase. BONUS: You can order a wine flight that consists of two ounces of four different wines! Crafts include locally made soaps by The Grey Barn Candle Co., woodworking by Steven Dunn, and more. Old World Libations’ will be serving up their Signature Cheese Plates and Charcuterie Boards.
