In 2011, I was in an automobile accident and suffered a shoulder injury. I met with three orthopedic surgeons, a conglomerate of medical personnel, waiting rooms, prescription medications and physical therapy. Yet the pain remained the same.  I grew tired of looking for answers while dealing with the long-term effects of being “cut” on and not receiving any sort of improvement in my range of motion nor pain relief, so I deliberated on taking an all-inclusive approach in healing my shoulder.

Upon arriving to a newfound approach at Greenbrier Chiropractic Center in Lewisburg, I found the answers to my ailments and injuries along with “knowing” what to expect. After all, who knows your body better than you do? Chiropractor’s “crack” and “pop” on body parts, correct?  Mistaken!  I was instantly met by a cordial staff and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel safe. After filling out my medical history and viewing a short video on “chiropractic care” I met with Dr. Timothy Pence. He introduced himself in an eager fashion and educated me on the body as a whole.

Following our consultation, we proceeded to an evaluation where he was able to pinpoint problematic areas in my body.  He showed that he was interested in my body and its entirety. As a new patient, this built confidence that my body’s troubles were heeded.  After my first appointment, I discovered an increase in my ROM (range of motion) to the spine- not the shoulder itself, where all my pain subsides.

Every appointment since, my body continues to benefit from Dr. Pence’s adjustments, insight, and treatments. I can now perform daily tasks with both arms, rather than solely depending on my “good” one.  I can enjoy playtime with my two-year-old more and have an all-around healthier lifestyle by the adjustments.  Dr. Pence, “The Future Doc,” maintains a promising outcome with present and future results while reinstating unfamiliar education that I once was unaware of.
