You will love the nuts at Osage Pecan Company located in downtown Lewisburg. This cozy specialty shop, managed by Lewisburg native Brit West, is a family run operation lasting almost 4 decades. Brit offers his patrons a gourmet selection of nuts and other unique items. The shop is conveniently located across from Food & Friends on W. Washington Street. During TOOT, held Saturday, October 11th, the shop will offer individual pecan pies.

Wondering where the nuts come from? They are shipped from the family farm in Albany, Georgia. Brit tells us that he visits the farm at least once year to visit his grandfather, Bubber Pippin. Grandfather Pippin has run Osage Pecan Company since 1977. Brit tells us that for years, folks tell his grandfather that he produces the finest pecans. Spanning across several generations, the nuts and other treats have become family traditions for many Georgians.

The Lewisburg shop not only carries pecans, but also a delicious assortment of cashews, almonds, peanuts, and dried fruit. There’s also variety in flavor! Try any nut (yes “try” because tastings are free) with a gourmet chocolate or decadent dark chocolate covered coating. There are also options for honey roasted, sugar free and salt free nuts.

Want coffee to go with your nuts? They have that too, it’s complimentary, and you’ll be encouraged to try the “flavor of the day.” Upon entering the shop, you’ll enjoy the delightful “nutty” aroma of either Southern Pecan, Hazelnut, Jamaica Me Nuts, Cinnamon Nut Swirl, Amaretto, and Swiss Chocolate Almond. Just like the nuts, all coffee is available for purchase. It comes in 8oz bags ground or 2.5lb bags in whole bean.

The shop is also stocked with a vast selection of West Virginia made food products. You can find local honey, maple syrup, jams, jellies, bbq sauce, beef jerky, salsa, chow chow, and pickled beets. Need a personalized gift basket or box? Brit will not only make it for you but also deliver locally or ship anywhere in the United States.
