STEP BACK IN TIME: REVOLUTIONARY WAR COMES ALIVE IN LEWISBURG APRIL 10–11

The Greenbrier Historical Society is bringing the Revolutionary War to life in Lewisburg on April 10 and 11, with two immersive history events featuring dramatic portrayals of iconic figures and untold stories from the 18th century as part of its America 250 celebrations.

On Friday, April 10 at 7PM, visitors are invited to Carnegie Hall for Immersive History: General Andrew Lewis, General George Washington, & Women in the American Revolution. Daniel Cross will present dramatic interpretations of General Andrew Lewis and George Washington, while Emma Cross explores the vital role of women in the American Revolution.

The immersive experience continues on Saturday, April 11 at 11AM at North House Museum during the Lewisburg Chocolate Festival. Emma Cross will portray a Revolutionary War camp follower, serve hot chocolate, and reenact Washington’s historic orders for hot chocolate to be distributed to soldiers when coffee supplies ran low.

These engaging programs offer audiences a vivid look at Revolutionary War history through live interpretation and storytelling at two of Lewisburg’s historic venues.
