“Wine, Music & Food Festival in Lindside, WV this Sept 22”
The 1st annual Wine, Music, and Food Festival is slated for September 22 in Lindside, WV. Held at the Wilson Mill Trout Farm, this year’s event is filled with WV and Va. food vendors, live entertainment, local wine vendors, an art show, and a whole lot more.
The featured wine vendors planning to attend are the Watts Roost Vineyard and the Vu ja de Vineyard. Wine tastings will be available with paid admission, with an option to buy bottles of your favorite vino to help immerse yourself in the festivities, or to take home and enjoy at a later date.
Scheduled throughout the day, the list of live entertainment is diverse and sure to appeal to a whole range of attendants. Doc Greenburg and The Patient Jazz are the first musicians on the play bill, followed by Bob McGraw. Rounding out the musical additions is the popular and long standing band The Carpenter Ants.
An ever expanding list of food vendors will be on hand to fill your gullet with tasty meals and morsels. The Crazy Baker, Vines and Grinds, Bella (The Corner Gourmet), The Kalico Kitchen, and The Market out of Hinton represent the WV food distributors on hand. The Palisades Restaurant and the Old Virginia Smokehouse are located just a short drive across the border in Virginia, and will also be peddling their featured items at this year’s inaugural event.
Local artists will be showcasing their work at the Trout Farm, with participants encouraged to meet and greet the wide array of WV and Va. talent. Art work will also be available to purchase during the event.
The First 100 through the gate receive a free mug with paid admission. Entrance to the event is $10. This first gathering of hopefully many more to come is sponsored by the Monroe County Arts Alliance. For more information contact Bettye Earley at 304-832-6713.
