So, yes! This is my 40th article with LBSpy now Hashtag Lewisburg and high time I stopped for a heartfelt Thank You!!
Arriving in Lewisburg three years ago, I had no idea how important this West Virginia Town would become to me. I simply stopped here, like so many others, to catch my breath and reorganize my priorities…Oh, yes and to train a dog!! Thanks to the kindness of friends, I was able to land softly from Life’s Adventures and take the time to look around me and marvel at the scenery.
The dog I first trained here, Owen came from Washington DC and was quickly followed by a local puppy. As it became evident that there was a need for some Canine Support in the area, I started to consider the possibility of a permanent change of location and the longer I stayed the stronger that feeling became.
Fast forward and many baby steps later I am happy to say that I am a busy dog trainer living on a marvelous piece of the Mountains, with many new friends and an emerging flower garden!!
Of course this took some hard work and energy, patience and perseverance but like all “overnight successes” this is always the way. Much like training your dog…progress comes slowly but inevitably although without the support of the community this cannot happen.
My clients here have opened their hearts and ears to some of my wild ideas and have acted, sometimes blindly upon my suggestions with faith and trust. Thank you.
I hope that you all realize that I deeply appreciate being allowed into your dogs’ lives and into your living rooms and that I get as much joy from seeing great results as you.
So thank you, Lewisburg and all the nooks and crannies in West Virginia that I have been privileged to catch glimpses of and of course…all the dogs – you know who you are!!!
