Nov 21 & 22: Holiday Open House in Lewisburg

The annual Holiday Open House is now TWO DAYS! Scheduled the weekend before Thanksgiving on Saturday, November 21st and Sunday the 22nd in downtown Lewisburg, West Virginia, the festivities will celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Season! Take in holiday decorations adorning the shops outside and in. See schedule of events below!

Catch the holiday spirit with musical performances, a visit with Santa, carriage rides, and the much anticipated tree lighting ceremony, writing letters to Santa at Love Child , and live painting demo with Trahern Cook at Sunflower Soul! The festival will again welcome Red River Drum and present a donation of gifts to The Family Refuge Center. New events include ice carving demos and cooking and holiday decor tips. Also, enjoy the good food and drinks around town and shop the downtown Lewisburg shops! Here is the schedule:

Holiday Ice Carving at the Greenspace, 10:30am
Holiday Baking Demos at Cakes & Cones, 12pm
Pomander Making at Edith’s Health Food Store, 12-3pm
“Holidays Begin with a Book” Read Aloud & Book Giveaway at Visitor’s Center, 1-2pm
Children’s Story Time at General Lewis Inn, 3-5pm
Light up Lewisburg Tree Lighting Festivities at Greenspace, 6:30pm
Christmas Tree Lighting at Montwell Park (Hill & Holler and Country Roads Crosffit), 7pm.
1 Year Anniversary Party at Country Roads Crossfit (adults only), 7pm
Spanxgiving (Drag and Burlesqe Show) at Greenbrier Valley Theatre, 7:30
Patrick O’Flaherty at Irish Pub, 5-10pm.
DJ/Karaoke at Sweet Shoppe, 9pm

Sunday Events:
Visit with Santa at City National Bank, 12-1pm
“Holidays Begin with a Book” Read Aloud & Book Giveaway at Visitor’s Center, 1-2pm
Holiday Cooking Demo at Greenbrier Valley Theatre, 2pm
Native American Blanket Ceremony at the Greenspace, 3pm (Bring an unwrapped gift to offer in this touching ceremony. Gifts are presented to the Family Refuge Center)
Children’s Story Time at Love Child (children’s store), 3pm
It’s a Party! at the Irish Pub (9th birthday party), 5pm-10pm
