Downtown Lewisburg, West Virginia celebrates First Fridays after Five on Friday, June 5th! Join the summer fun for live music, art events, and tasty treats. This event is free and open to the public.

The Wild Bean hosts a benefit for the Greenbrier River Watershed Association with live music by Margo Persinger’s Mojo Sisters and Dave Buhrman. Fun begins at 8:30pm with a requested donation at the door of $7.00 per person. Money will help fund the GRWA Pipeline Outreach and Education project. There’s live music by “SQUAWKIN’ HENRY” in the City Green Space. Mike Clark, Don Steck, Tracy Steck and Susanna Robinson-Kenga will entertain you with eclectic folk acoustic music as you relax on the lawn.

Stop by The Greenbrier Visitor’s Center for live music with Strum Sum Band and check out the June “Art in the Valley” display by members of the local Crickenberger family. The exhibit entitled “Generations” will feature the artwork of Phyllis Bransford Crickenberger, her daughters, Katie Ickes and Sara “Meg” Crickenberger, and grandchildren Naomi, Sarah Beth, Samuel and Grace Crickenberger and Mary Claire Ickes. Check out The Front Porch and sip some wine, taste some cheese and other tidbits and help raise money for The Family Refuge Center. The Front Porch continues to donate 10% of the evening’s proceeds for FRC. At the Irish Pub on Washington Street Celtic musician Patrick O’Flaherty (pictured above) will play toe-tapping tunes until 8:30pm, and then local duo Rivertown Gypsies will take the stage at 9pm, no cover charge. The Open Book (beside Greenbrier Valley Theatre) welcomes local writer, playwright, teacher and actor Eric Fritzius.
