Historic Downtown Lewisburg celebrates First Fridays after Five on Friday, July 3rd! Join the summer fun with live music, art events and tasty treats. Everyone is welcome!

Mosey on in to The Front Porch to celebrate their second anniversary! Enjoy door prizes, refreshments and a demonstration with our Hester & Cook Kitchen Papers to show you how to take your summer entertaining to a new level. The Front Porch is again donating 10% of First Friday’s proceeds to benefit The Family Refuge Center. Help The Front Porch support this very worthy cause. 219 East Washington Street, 645-4454.

Enjoy live music by “Marguerite” in the City Green Space. Marguerite is made up of: Two songwriters, Abigail Reynolds & Josiah Spangler, from Lewisburg, WV, whose harmonies and multi-instrumentalism coalesce in an ambient folk sound; and Jeremiah Hatfield (electric guitar and mandolin) and Evan Olds (stand-up bass). Relax by the fountain as you enjoy their tunes.

At the Irish Pub on Washington Street, world touring bouzouki master and singer/songwriter Beth Patterson will play from 4pm to 8:30pm and then local duo Rivertown Gypsies will take the stage at 9pm. The Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center will premiere their July “Art in the Valley” show entitled “A Local Sampler.” Area artisans will be featured in this exhibit, which will include handmade quilts, fiber arts, pottery, paintings, photography, and sculpture. First Fridays after 5 takes place all year long in downtown Lewisburg with shops, galleries and restaurants in downtown Lewisburg open until 9pm serving complimentary refreshments and entertainment, sponsored by City National Bank.
