West Virginia native, Wyatt Turner, is performing at the Sweet Shoppe in downtown Lewisburg on Saturday, December 13th. In the summer of 2013, heads turned when Wyatt uploaded a video to youtube of himself playing an acoustic guitar and singing a song called, “You Remind Me Of West Virginia.”

“I love this song… I live in Randolph County now, originally from Tucker County and this song describes so much of the beauty you see up there and here. Wonderful song…WV is a state to be proud of… :)” – Riki Keener, via youtube. Oct, 2014.

The song was released on National Radio on August 5th, 2013 and several news sites in-and-around the state including CBS Pittsburgh, WVVA, and WV Public Broadcasting featured Wyatt and West Virginians responded favorably. Wyatt says the song’s words are a comparison between the beauty of the state and his fiancee. The lyrics include “You’re wild and wonderful, like a breeze I’ve always known,” and “You’re my country road, oh girl, you take me home.”

I have to say you are amazing and your song speaks a lot about my life. I’m a West Virginia country boy myself and I’ve felt exactly the same way as you described in this song. So thank you for the song and the inspiration for my own song writing. – Anthony Davis, via youtube

Now with over 200,000 youtube views, we invite you to hear Wyatt’s song live. His natural charm, sense of humor, and effortless stage presence will entertain the evening crowd.
