“Michelle Evans & Cory Hanks are pleased to announce their marriage on 10/5/14 at Waveland State Historic Site in Lexington, KY. The ceremony was officiated by Eric Bolander of Lexington. The wedding party consisted of Doc Feldman of Lexington & Michael Jett of Louisville.
The bride is the daughter of Gwendolyn Evans of Marlinton, WV. The groom is the son of George & Charlene Hanks of Lawrenceburg, KY. The bride wore an A-line dress with teal petticoat, feather hair piece & feather inlaid turquoise heels. She carried a bouquet made of vintage brooches & turquoise, teal & white paper flowers. The groom wore a teal button-up shirt, gray vest, black & white Chucks & a white, paper flower boutonniere. Their ceremony rings were brushed aluminum with “always” & “until the very end” from the Harry Potter book & movie series engraved on them.
The reception will be at Al’s Bar in Lexington on 11/15/14 at 8pm. Music will be by Tyler Childers, Matt Woods & the groom’s band, Those Crosstown Rivals, with special performances by Justin Wells, Doc Feldman & Senora Lainhart. The bride was the “Offbeat” columnist for LBSPY when she resided in West Virginia. She was also the assistant at the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce in Greenbrier County, WV & an AmeriCorps VISTA in Pocahontas County, WV. She owns No Holds Barred, a social media consulting business, & is finishing her Bachelor’s degree online at West Virginia University in Entertainment Media.
