Get ready for Mountain Music Festival this June held at Ace Adventures Resort! Located above the New River Gorge in Oak Hill, WV, Ace will be hosting its first music festival to include talented performers paired with fun around the resort on June 6th and 7th. Every band/artist at this festival has a self-titled album, is an award-winning musician, is well travelled, or all three. As a festival-goer, you will experience the eclectic mix of sounds from various genres and stay plenty busy with the almost unlimited activities Ace has to offer on their 1,500-acre resort, aka “big kid playground.” It’s a festi-vacation in our very own backyard!

Larry Keel and Natural Bridge will deliver innovative and exhilarating acoustic flatpicking melodies and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong (featured photo) will perform sounds of funk, rock, electric energy. You’ll feel intoxicated to dance by the reggae harmonies of Spiritual Rez and their sub-sonic groove. Singer, songwriter, and musician, Keller Williams will engage the audience and deliver his signature quirky tunes. Additional bands are: The Wood Brothers, Big Something, Brainchild, and Yo Momma’s Big Fat Booty. (See band bios at lbspy.com)
Make this trip extra enjoyable by taking advantage of the amenities, such as white water rafting the Upper and/or Lower New River. You can also go zip lining and choose from different 9 zip lines ranging from 200 to 800+ feet, 2 sky bridges, and a drop down tower. Take a guided mountain bike tour, play disc golf, hit up the volleyball court, get into some lawn chess, throw some corn hole, or try the EuroBungy. You can also experience rock climbing on the sand stone cliffs above the New River. Did you know Ace’s rock climbing is rated in the top 5 climbing areas in the United States? Your first climb will take you 1,000 feet high.

Go for a swim at the resort’s 5-acre adventure lake. It’s filled with waterslides, zip lines, inflatable trampolines, bouncy toys, and blog bags. You can also experience what it’s like to walk on water with paddle boarding on the river or scenic lake. Want to get dirty? Grab 9 friends and sign up for the mud obstacle course on Saturday. Like to shoot and play army? Schedule a private paintball shoot-out.
This June 6 & 7th, we encourage you to go play all day and lose yourself by night enjoying the sounds of reggae, alternative bluegrass, Americana, and funk at Ace Adventures Mountain Music Festival. To purchase tickets, visit: mountainmusicfestwv.com
