Fri. March 21: Boatmen at Sweet Shoppe

Boatmen LBSPY

It has been just slightly over a year since The Boatmen performed in Lewisburg and that last show was at the Sweet Shoppe on W. Washington Street in downtown. On Friday, March 21st, you can catch this harmony driven – Americana “Soulgrass” band. They’ll be performing at the Sweet Shoppe at 9pm.

Since their last show in Lewisburg, the group has learned a couple new covers that they think you all will enjoy. They have also focused much of their time on writing new originals in anticipation of releasing a new album later this 2014 year. While this album is currently untitled, it is similar to band’s debut release as it will contain some acoustic tracks as well as a few electric songs.

If you can’t make this show or want to see more of the band, you can find them performing the following shows: March 14th at Foster’s Main Street Tavern in Beckley, 10pm. March 17th at McBee’s Irish Pub in Beckley, 9pm. March 22nd at the Eager Beaver in Hillsboro/Millpoint, 10pm. April 12th at 50 East in White Sulphur Springs.

You’re sure to have a great night with the Boatmen at the Sweet Shoppe and if you get to say hi, tell em LBSPY sent ya!
