Wisdom from the Woods – WV State Fair Enthusiasts. Issue #14

Wisdom from the Woods – Life lessons learned from being around WV enthusiasts at the state fair.

After a barrage of barbs about it, I’ve come up with a convincing case for why West Virginian’s supposedly don’t wear shoes. Maybe we want to walk more closely in the footsteps of the trailblazers who’ve forged paths and left a clearer way for us. Perhaps it’s our inherent need to put down our own tracks alongside the decent, dependable and durable pioneers that trod these trails ahead of us. Maybe it’s just the comforting touch of the solid soil of our home that grounds our souls firmly to this place. Whatever the reason, it just feels better to be attached to everything beautiful West Virginia is.
