For just $2, yes two dollars… Carnegie Hall invites you to meet the filmmaker, watch their film, and ask them questions afterwards. On Screen/In Person brings new, American, independent films and their creators to communities across the mid-Atlantic region. A total of six films and their filmmakers tour across the region each year. Each tour engagement includes a public screening, and a question-and-answer session with the filmmaker. Carnegie Hall has been selected as a host site for the 2016-2017 series. Carnegie will have one on-screen/in person event each month in February, March, and April. The evening will start with an informal reception with filmmaker at 6:30pm. The film begins at 7pm; and there’s a Q&A with the filmmaker after the film.

March 24: Real Boy. Film Synopsis: Bennett Wallace is a charismatic teenager on the brink of adulthood. As he navigates the ups and downs of gender transition and grapples with a history of substance abuse, Bennett embarks on a journey to find his voice—as a musician, a friend, a son, and a man.

April 10: States of Grace (pictured above). Film Synopsis: A routine commute across the Golden Gate Bridge turned tragic for Dr. Grace Dammann when another driver crashed head on into her car. Though she miraculously survived, she spent more than a year in rehabilitation hospitals.
