The Greenbrier Valley's #1 Source for Food, Music, Shopping, Theatre, and Events!

Experience the World of Yarn.

Out on Blue Sulphur Pike about a mile outside downtown Lewisburg, there is a charming yarn store that offers great things for a knitter to buy and do. Owned and operated by Renee Feamster, Country Road Yarn House has been serving the community with quality yarns and accessories for 3 years. You can find yarns for any project, take a class to learn how to knit, and/or join the free Tuesday night sit-in from 4-7pm. During regular hours, you are welcome to sit and knit.

From a knitting perspective, the yarn inventory covers all the bases. They carry Plymouth and Cascade yarns as well as many others. You can also find a large variety of knitting needles, crochet hooks, pattern books, and other accessories.

In addition to being well stocked with quality yarns, the shop is warm and inviting with plush seating, a quaint workspace, a Keurig ready to brew your favorite coffee or tea, and snacks on hand. It’s also very colorful and decorated with adorable stitched sheep.

“It’s so nice to have a place nearby where you can see and feel good yarns–especially when the atmosphere is so welcoming!”
– Courtney Clemons.

If you ever need a night with friends and some yarn, away from the hustle of your daily life, Country Road Yarn House is the place to go on a Tuesday night. Every Tuesday night from 4-7pm, women come together to talk and knit. On Tuesday, March 12th Country Road Yarn House is holding a special event featuring Gourmet cheeses and Watt’s Roost Vineyard Wine for their “Wine, Cheese, & Yarn Knitting Night.” www.wattsroostvineyard.com

The women who attend the Tuesday night sit-ins find benefit in knitting together. They share expertise and their life experiences. The lifestyles of the women who attend these nights range from professionals to stay at home mothers. One woman works in national forest wildlife service while another attendee is studying for her Master’s degree. Renee tells us that, “The stitching crowd is a positive group of women who share stories and commonalities.” All guests are invited to bring food and join in for a relaxing night “in”.

“We have been in business for 3 years and we take pride in carrying many wonderful, high-quality yarns. We invite you to join our Tuesday Knitting Nights! Come share ideas, expertise, and your enthusiasm in the art of knitting and crocheting on our sit in night” – Renee Feamster, Owner.
