April in our region blooms with new life. Color returns to our valleys, the chill of winter fades, and we begin to stir once more. Lewisburg is blooming with exciting additions: Bramble, Washington Street’s treasure trove of vintage finds and vinyl vibes, offers a cozy space that feels like home. Nearby, discover Rootelated, a one-of-a-kind shop for nature lovers inspired by a passion for rockhounding; msiJs, bringing a boho aesthetic and timeless appeal; and Cultivated Beauty, a lovely new salon offering a chance to refresh and shine.

In White Sulphur Springs, Creekside Foundry is opening its doors as an inspiring makerspace where creativity takes center stage. From pottery and sewing to collaborative projects, this welcoming space is designed to help local artists, hobbyists, and curious minds bring their ideas to life.

Communities thrive when people lift each other up. At the Family Refuge Center’s 4th Annual International Women’s Day Tea Party, women gathered to celebrate leadership and service, honoring Lewisburg Mayor Beverly White for her dedication to the community. It’s a wonderful reminder that when women support one another, the whole community benefits.

April is a great time to enjoy all things spring. Chocolate lovers, rejoice! The Lewisburg Chocolate Festival is back, more indulgent than ever. The Greenbrier Valley Chorale celebrates America’s 250th birthday with a special spring concert, promising beautiful music for all to enjoy. And with great food (yes, Picklefest is back, too!), performances, and plenty of fun in our towns, there’s something for everyone to savor this season.

It’s prom season, too! Don’t miss the Greenbrier County Committee on Aging and the WVSOM Geriatric Club’s 2026 Senior Prom. This year’s optional 1950s theme brings nostalgia, community spirit, and of course, plenty of dancing.
