Happy August readers,

I hope you all had a wonderful July! There is so much more beautiful weather ahead of us, allowing for time to enjoy the many exciting things this month has to offer. We had the opportunity to speak with many wonderful people in our community and I am so excited to share everything I learned with you all!

If you are anything like me, you are always looking for new, fun things to do with your family, especially during the summer! This month I was able to visit Lewisburg Paintball LLC and learn how they operate. Paintball is not one of my specialties, but after speaking with one of the owners, I now want to try it for myself! If you are a gaming enthusiast, love a good adrenaline rush, or are just looking to try something new, this is the perfect place to visit. Check out our cover story to learn more.

Speaking of an adrenaline rush, what better way to get your blood pumping than with a great performance with local musicians? See our unplugged column to read more about our featured artist, Kodie Brooks, and his upcoming event. Not only do we love learning about our local musicians, but we are also excited to hear that an artist on tour will be visiting our area. Eli Lev, Indie Folk singer and songwriter will be making an appearance in Lewisburg this month. 

Also featured in this addition is Gustard’s Bistro, a new bistro located in White Sulphur Springs with a diverse menu and exquisite dining.  As well as local artist Merideth Young, who creates beautiful and exciting pieces that are widely appreciated. 

We cannot forget one of Greenbrier County’s largest events, the WV State Fair. Check out our column on the beautiful Demonstration Garden held each year with an amazing presentation of flowers covering 8,000 square feet.
