Patrick O’Flaherty to Play Traditional Irish Music at St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at Hillsboro Public House

The Hillsboro Public House is hosting a Saint Patrick’s Day celebration on Sunday, March 17, from 3:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. Featured entertainment for the event is renowned Celtic/Irish musician, Patrick O’Flaherty. Patrick will treat celebrants to a variety of traditional Irish music, including his incomparable talents on the mandolin, accordion, bouzouki, harmonica, and mandola.

The menu includes food with Irish flair, Irish whiskeys, Guinness beer, and other traditional St. Patrick’s day items. There will even be green beer available.

When asked what attendees can expect at the celebration, owner Terrell McSweeny said, “Eating, drinking, and enjoying Irish music.” An Irish American, Terrell looks forward to livening things up at the Pub with this special event. “Patrick is such a wonderful performer and brings so much experience to it. The celebrations that used to be at the Irish Pub in Lewisburg were a lot of fun, and we’re trying to recreate some of that for folks that have been missing it.”

“It’s going to be fun!” Terrell said. “For those who want to raise a pint, or have a nice Irish celebration with wonderful Celtic music to enjoy the day, this is a perfect event.”
