Jo Perez, Director of the Alderson Artisan’s Gallery, is a talented artisan whose exquisite creations are displayed in the Alderson Artisan’s Gallery in Alderson; Plants, Etc. in Lewisburg; and Allegheny Highlands Arts and Crafts Center in Covington, VA. Some of her work is on display at the 2023 WV Juried Exhibition at the West Virginia Cultural Center.

Jo creates a plethora of stained glass projects, using various techniques and varieties of glass; including antique hand blown glass and machine made glass. With the exception of some traditional
Appalachian quilt patterns, all of the designs produced in the Dark Hollow Stained Glass workshop are
original. Some of Jo’s lovely projects include: windows; lamps; mirrors; panels; jewelry; and quilt squares. This talented lady also does her own woodworking. She uses native hardwoods to create lamp bases and frames for windows and quilt squares, producing a truly beautiful and unique Appalachian work of art.
