Greenbrier Valley Theatre Celebrates Summer with a Bash

Join GVT for a Fundraiser at Ronceverte Island Park

By Josh Lapping

Summer is slowly coming to an end, but Greenbrier Valley Theatre is looking to go out with a bash. Join GVT down at Ronceverte Island Park on September 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. for the Back at It Bash. The evening will be a fundraising event for the theatre. Tickets are $10 or $25 for families of four. With food trucks, games, raffles, and music this evening will certainly be a proper summer send off. GVT continues to work towards providing the community with opportunities to come together outside of the typical theatre setting.

The fundraising evening is being sponsored by local businesses such as The Dawg House, Greenbrier Dairy, and The Sportsman Tavern, among others. Portions of the proceeds spent on local food truck vendors will be donated back to the theatre. Local band, Cat Head Biscuit will be playing music throughout the evening. The theatre will be holding a 50/50 raffle with tickets available both before and during the evening of the event.

Now in its 56th season, Greenbrier Valley Theatre, is a mainstay and theatre destination located in Lewisburg, WV. The arts organization has been further recognized as a “West Virginia Jewel of the Hills,” awarded the Living the Dream Service Organization Honor Roll by The Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission, and is a multi-year recipient of Non-Profit Business of the Year. GVT boasts a robust series of year-round programing and educational offers with the goal to enlighten, enrich, and enliven throughout the region.

Tickets for the Back at It Bash, as well as the raffle, are available by visiting the theatre’s website gvtheatre.org or by calling 304-645-3838.
