Chocolate Festival is Almost Here!

Make plans for the 14th Annual Lewisburg Chocolate Festival, slated for Saturday, April 9th, 2022!

COME ONE, COME ALL… the Lewisburg Chocolate Festival is almost here! Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 9th, which is a day filled with fun family activities, live music, pastry demonstrations, and of course…CHOCOLATE!!! The festival, celebrating its 14th year in 2022, serves as a benefit for the United Way of Greenbrier Valley. 

The festivities will begin at 9 a.m. with the HospiceCare Run for Chocolate 5K and 10K. Registration for the run begins at 7 a.m. at the Greenbrier County Courthouse. There’s also a Pancake Breakfast at Hill & Holler from 7a-11am. 

Other events include:

  • Street Performances by “el Gleno Grande (the Horse Guy), and his noble steed Sigfrido.”
  • Face Painting by Wild Child Artworks, outside of  Lewis Theatre.
  • Children’s Storytelling at Love Child. 
  • “Candyland” complimentary souvenir photos at Sheena Pendley Design & Photography.
  • Easter Egg Hunt at Hill & Holler.
  • Pastry Demonstrations by Lisa Carter and Chef Jean Francois at the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center. 
  • Free screenings of “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” at Greenbrier Valley Theatre 

In addition, the Vince Lewis Sextet and the Thomas Taylor Band will be performing live music all day in the Greenspace. (In case of inclement weather, the Greenbrier Valley Theatre lobby will serve as the alternate performance location.) There will also be a free performance by the Greenbrier Academy for Girls on the steps of Carnegie Hall. 

Enjoy gourmet breads, NY style pizzas, and more at Blackwell’s Catering in downtown Lewisburg!

And what would the Chocolate Festival be without the chocolate? From 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. chocolate tastings will be offered at more than 40 locations all over Lewisburg! Truffles, malted milk balls, cookies, coffee bean chocolate bark, coconut bites, amaretto fudge, chocolate dipped butter pretzels, chocolate bagels and peanut clusters, rogue double chocolate stout tastings at Hill & Holler – the festival promises a sweet for every tooth!
