With heightened concerns of COVID variants, the Arts Council is making an addendum to their policy for Wednesday night’s Celtic Angels Ireland concert at the Historic Masonic Theatre.  In addition to the general statement strongly suggesting the wearing of masks, the balcony section will be reserved for only those choosing to wear a mask through the entire performance. Anyone entering the balcony will agree to keep their mask in place for the duration of the event.

Arts Council Executive Director Tammy Scruggs-Duncan explained it this way. “This leaves the option of personal choice open to all who attend. Everyone is asked to mask while they are entering or moving about the facility, but those on the main floor can choose to wear or remove masks during the show. Individuals who sit in the balcony will be assured that everyone around them will have face covering. This keeps us from restricting access and requiring all to be masked. The safety of our artists and audience are our primary concern and we feel it’s a good compromise.”
