Saturday, June 29: Laughin w/ the Ladies in Lewisburg

Oh my, they’re at it again! The Wild Bean and producer Ian Lutz have put together a fantastic line-up of comediennes for the next edition of Laughin’ (with the ladies) in Lewisburg. On Saturday, June 29th the stage will light up with lipstick and laughs like this town has never seen!

Headliner Jozalyn Sharp (pictured above) is a Nevada native who shares her unique experiences traveling and partying her way across the country onstage nightly. Her stand up is characterized by honest and unedited looks at sex, relationships, life and her own body. A self-proclaimed nerd, she rebelled against mainstream life after turning down 3 full ride scholarships out of high school to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. Jozalyn rattles the cages of how women are supposed to speak and feel while regaling crowds with stories from her own life. Her candid and honest look at the world coupled with her rebel nature makes her relate to both millennials and older generations. She can be seen all across the country and has been seen at The Crapshoot Comedy Festival, The World Famous Comedy Store, The Brea Improv, The World Series of Comedy, Laugh-A-War Comedy Competition, Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas Live Comedy Club, Sin City Theatre, Sin City Comedy and Burlesque, Tommy T’s Comedy Club, Loonees Comedy Corner, Laughs Unlimited, Comedy and Dolls, Sam Tripoli’s The Naughty Show, the Life is Beautiful Festival 2016 & 2017, The Dirty at 12:30, the Blue Room Comedy Club, and more. She was a Semi-Finalist in the StandUP NBC 2018 Comedian Search. She headlines the monthly sold out Filth Factory show at L.A. Comedy Club inside The Stratosphere Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. She is also the co-host of the popular podcasts MetalSucks & Rise to Offend (combined average of 50,000 downloads a month).

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, feature comedian Dwayne Duke (pictured above) has honed his craft at venues across the nation. Dwayne’s act is not a leap into debauchery, more a gentle nudge into the profane. He’s been part of multiple comedy festivals including Cleveland Comedy, Broken Record, Burning Bridges, and Whiskey Bear. His second album “Shame Flashbacks” (2018) is available now. Dwayne is also the founder/ executive Producer of the Midwest Queer Comedy Festival.

The lovely and talented show host for the evening will be Laure Luhray (pictured above) who runs Cozzy’s Sunday Funnies, a weekly comedy showcase at Cozzy’s Comedy Club in Newport News. Luhray has been featured at the Funny Bone & opened up for National Acts such as Bo Dacious

Guest comedienne Lindsay Williams (pictured above) was born and raised in the small town of Richwood, WV, and has always had a knack for identifying the absurdities of life and making people laugh. As an adult, she began to feel no one else could see how ridiculous life is until she began telling jokes on stage. She shares her insights into the world to help audiences laugh together about this strange life we live. Lindsay’s humor is often dark yet silly, heartfelt, and savagely honest. She continues making people laugh her passion.

So wrangle up your crew and make sure to show some love to this absolutely fabulous line up of comedic talent from around the country! P.S. Leave the kids at home. See you there! The Wild Bean is located at 1056 Washington St. E in downtown Lewisburg.
