As the stress of the back-to-school season starts to suffocate you, you may find yourself longing for a break from it all. Have a relaxing evening of delicious food and soothing music at Zen’s Café. Located at 313 Neville Street, Beckley you can expect more than just atmosphere. They have many coffee options as well as their signature Zen Freeze. Their wine and beer selection is extensive and features locals, domestics, and imports. Their menu reflects the same variety of options for both lunch and dinner. This includes vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free  options.

“Great gourmet burgers, micro brews and more. We sat in a  stylish comfortable booth. Cool art for sale decorating walls. Service was friendly and very attentive. We were traveling by and a friend had recommended this fairly new place.” –Bill Mcdewd, five stars

If fantastic food is not enough for you, Zen’s Cafe also acts as a venue for local musicians who perform most weekends. Past performers include Lady D., The Long Point String Band, and Shayar. But their live music is not the only way they are reaching out to customers. They are offering a special drink to all Pokemon players called Pokemon Freeze! Uptown Beckley is a hotspot for Pokemon activity with multiple gyms as well as a large number of pokestops. So while you are on the hunt, stop by and get their Pokemon Freeze and get 50% off another. This is also a fantastic place to take a breather with the kids while they play and you relax. Zen’s Café is also excited to welcome the students of surrounding universities.

“It’s so nice to see something like this in downtown Beckley. The food was EXCELLENT- everything we ordered. I had the black bean veggie burger which I was hesitant to try because in my experience, I’ve never had one worth having. Luckily, I ordered it anyway. It was moist, flavorful, and just out of the park as far as expectations go. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful, the place looked beautiful as well. Absolutely will return and hope everyone else tries the restaurant and gives life to downtown Beckley! 10/10” – Serenity Eden

Zen’s Café is opens every day at 7am. Monday through Thursday they close at 10pm. On Friday and Saturday, they close at 2am. And on Sundays they close at 10pm.
