Willow Kelly and Ryan Appel are bringing what they call the “metaphysical” to Lewisburg. They recently opened a creative, free spirited store in Jefferson Plaza called Willow & Ryan’s Unique Boutique (UB). UB carries a large selection of uncommon gifts such as gemstone jewelry, body jewelry, artistic collectibles, incense, groovy clothing, tapestries, statuary, fragrance oils, crystals and mineral specimens, and even fun items for kids.

On the surface, the name “Unique Boutique” describes the contents of the store. Willow tells us, “We carry uncommon items in a variety that appeals to many people. We have something for everybody.” She also says, “Going deeper, The first letters of the two words, U B, translates into You Be, which reflects the metaphysical theme we are developing. We want to provide the resources to help people Be the best the can Be.”

for everybody.” – Willow Kelly

With a degree in geology and a passion for gemstones, Willow began her first business in 1992 creating gemstone jewelry and traveling the craft show circuit. That business name was Willow’s World. She then had a store in South Charleston in the mid 90s. When Willow met Ryan 11 years ago, he started making jewelry to spend time with her, and together they did craft shows. Several years ago, they settled in West Virginia and for the last year, they have been managing Rebecca’s Jewelry’s Box. Now with the closing of Rebecca’s, UB has been opened to fill the void for high-demand products. Their long term goal is to develop the store into a metaphysical center, where people can come for information and supplies for developing energy work and spirituality.
