The Greenbrier Valley's #1 Source for Food, Music, Shopping, Theatre, and Events!

Friday, Nov. 7: Illuminight Full Moon 5k!

illuminight october 2014

This is the first event of its kind in the area! – Illuminight- Full Moon Friday 5k. By the light of the full moon, runners will start at the Intervale Trail Head, and head north, then turn around at the 1.5 halfway point and finish at Intervale. The course is mostly flat on the smooth crushed gravel of the Jackson River Scenic Trail.

The trail will be marked with luminaries, reflective arrows, glow sticks, and glow-in the-dark painted volunteers. The staff will do their best to help you stay on course.

A light source is mandatory for all runners; it is recommended that you have at least a headlamp or flashlight. It is best to carry one of each. A headlamp helps you see where you are going and a flashlight to help make sure you stay on the trail. They suggest you try running with your choice of light source in the dark prior to running the race.

Bring your own headlamps, flashlights, and any other light source as they will not be provided and you will not be allowed to participate without them!
