On First Friday, November 7th, check out new works by local talent, Emily Coleman. “Hey Baby, what’s your sign” is Emily’s fashion based art show that will present her latest creations inspired by the Zodiac. The art will be showcased on birch wood, inspired by women and their signs. This event will be held at Washington Street Gallery at 123 W. Washington Street in downtown Lewisburg, from 5-9pm. There is no cost to attend and a light fare and refreshments will be served.

I want to celebrate the beauty that is in each and every woman. Maybe not to be realistic representation, but to capture the feeling and emotions attributed to the sign! – Emily Coleman.

Artistically proficient since the age of 4, Emily’s art pieces may take your breath away. She has created visually powerful art of women that are detailed down to the hair. The pieces include non-conventional elements such as gemstones, pressed plants, feathers, beads, as well as traditional painting and metal leafing. She tells us, “Each design reflects attributes, strengths, and the multiple layers that make up each sign’s personality.” If you happen to fall in love with a piece of Emily’s art, you’ll have the choice to take it home, as everything will be available for purchase.

“Excellent. I love her portraits, they absolutely blow me away” – Susanna R. Kenga.

Emily also encourages attendees to dress up for the show. The pieces have a strong fashion element to them if you like, dress for your sign. Glamour for fun will add to the whole ambiance of the show… plus you’ll look fabulous for a Friday night out!

Don’t miss the chance to connect with your glamorous zodiac sign this November at “Hey Baby, what’s your sign”. If you are interested in reaching out to Emily sooner, find her at “Terrible Two Studio” on facebook. She may be contacted for questions, comments, or private/freelance requests.
