A WOMAN, A STORY, & A LIFE IN BETWEEN: ONE FOR YOU. BY TIFFANY BLAIR
I have such a difficult time shopping for gifts to give during the holidays. Like a lot of people, I struggle with the task of finding just the right gift for each of the folks I’m shopping for. As I get older, I find that I’m constantly trying to pick something out “for the person who has everything.” This year, I’m facing yet another roadblock in my mission – I keep coming across things I want for myself! I hardly find it fair that I can go out on a day-long quest for a particular item any other month and find nothing, but come December I’m bombarded by all the little trinkets, clothes, and home goods that were seemingly hiding from me all year long. Now, don’t think I’m “cray” (as the kids say). I understand that this time of year is set up specifically to showcase all those “must-haves” and get you to squeeze all the life from your wallet. The problem is; my wallet is already deader than a Goth party. My previous gift tallying strategy of “one for you – one for me…two for you – one, two for me” isn’t working anymore. Looks like I’ll have to bring out the big guns this time. Does anyone have Santa’s cell number?!
