Technology by Tiffany Blair

As much as I love it, I have to admit that technology has made me both lazy and stupid. I’m not just talking about my inability to do math without a calculator (which, by the way, is downright embarrassing). I mean that advancements in technology have crept deep into the recesses of my brain, and I can barely function without them. For instance, mere moments ago I went into the bathroom to wash my hands and stood there casually contemplating the shape and thickness of my eyebrows for at least fifteen seconds before I realized the sink in my home bathroom doesn’t have a motion sensor. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I am too tech-dependent to turn on my own water faucet without really thinking about it first. Also, I’m not really sure how I functioned before I had a vehicle with a backup camera. For all these years I’d only been using my eyes to see what was behind me. What an amateur I was! If I wanted to, I could deposit checks into the bank using my cell phone or have a little robot clean my floors. It’s impressive, really. Or, at least I think it is. I’m sure there’s an app that can help me figure it out for sure.
