Alpha Music Anniversary Party with Larry Keel, June 29th

On Saturday June 29th, celebrate Alpha Music’s 30th Year Anniversary with food, drinks, and a Guitar Showcase & Clinic by Larry Keel. Starting at 1pm, Larry Keel, one of the all time masters of the acoustic guitar, will be at Alpha Music introducing and demonstrating several models of Andrew White’s line of guitars. Hailing from Morgantown, WV, White is one of the best up-and-coming guitar builders in the nation. During this event, White will be explaining the different methods of guitar construction and his approach to guitar building.

“My White guitar is the easiest to play nylon stringed-guitar I have ever tried. The sound projection in general, and the bass response in particular, are amazing. The wood appointments are exquisite. The guitar rates a 10 in all categories,” – John Shaw, via andrewwhiteguitars.com

Larry Keel, who is one of White’s sponsored artists, is considered by many to be the most exhilarating and innovative acoustic flatpicking guitarists performing today. If you’re not familiar with Keel, we suggest you get to know him at this event as he will tell you what guitars he likes and why. Keel’s knack for choosing interesting and appealing material from all realms of music has earned him the highest respect and billing among the top acoustic musicians, including, but not limited to: Tony Rice, Bill Monroe, Del McCoury, Chris Thile, Vassar Clements, Sam Bush, Peter Rowan, and Darol Anger. Larry Keel’s band, Natural Bridge will also be in attendance as they are performing a concert that same evening. More info on Keel, visit: larrykeel.com

After this event, everyone is invited to follow Larry Keel & Natural Bridge up to their concert at The Burrito Bar at Breeze Hill in Lansing, West Virginia. The opening act is Possum Holler Glee Club! Possum Holler performs “genre jumping, feel good party music with foundations in the old time blues and folk of yesteryear.”
