Product Junkie by Tiffany Blair

A Woman, a Story, & a Life In-Between – Product Junkie

It’s come to my attention that I have become a Product Junkie, and I think I need an intervention. I am on a constant quest for the Next Big Thing when it comes to enhancing and defining my naturally curly hair. I spend a huge chunk of my free time watching YouTube video reviews of hair products and stalking the Instagram accounts of other curly-headed ladies. I know a lot of people who plan travel stops around restaurants they’d like to visit: I plan my stops based on stores that carry hair products I can’t find back home. I travel with what can only be described as a vat of hair gel, a 16oz. bottle of grapeseed oil, organic leave-in conditioner…and I sleep in a purple satin bonnet. There, I said it! Now, if that isn’t a cry for help, I don’t know what is. I have so many twisting creams and shea butter concoctions that I had to buy a bookshelf from Ikea just to organize it all. If there is a Product Junkie Rehab out there somewhere, I need to find it – and fast. I just hope they let me bring my curling custard!
