Spring may be known for high school proms, but the joy of a great night out knows no age limit. This April, the Greenbrier County Committee on Aging and the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine Geriatric Club are teaming up to host a Senior Prom, an evening designed for connection, nostalgia, and plenty of time on the dance floor.
The 2026 Senior Prom will take place on Friday, April 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the WVSOM Alumni Center, offering guests of all ages a night of music, dancing, and lighthearted fun. Attendees can enjoy light refreshments and a cash bar in a welcoming, festive atmosphere.
Feeling nostalgic? Guests are invited (but not required) to embrace the optional 1950s Sock Hop theme: think poodle skirts, saddle shoes, and vintage flair. Or simply come as you are. Attire of all kinds, from blue jeans to evening gowns, is welcome.
Tickets are $25 per couple or $15 for singles and can be purchased via Venmo (@daisystinson), by check payable to the Greenbrier County Committee on Aging, or at the door. For more information, contact Vickie Dove at 304-646-2897.
Whether you come dressed to the nines or just ready to dance, this evening is all about celebrating community, joy, and the simple pleasure of a night out.
