Some familiar sounds are making their way back to the Greenbrier Valley.

Patrick O’Flaherty is happy to be back in Lewisburg from the big city, and is set to make a return to local stages with a new round of appearances coming up this fall. After spending time away from West Virginia, O’Flaherty is reconnecting with the places and audiences that have been part of his musical life for years.

O’Flaherty’s connection to the region runs deep. During his years in Lewisburg, his music became a familiar part of local life, from regular pub performances to community celebrations and special events. His return gives longtime listeners a chance to catch up with an artist they may have missed and gives newer listeners an opportunity to hear him live for the first time.

Born to Irish parents and raised in Galway, O’Flaherty grew up surrounded by the musical traditions of Ireland. A singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, he has built a career around traditional and original Celtic music, performing on instruments including the button accordion, mandolin, harmonica and banjo. He also sings in both Gaelic and English and has written original material in Gaelic.

His time in the Greenbrier Valley has included plenty of memorable musical stops, and his return feels less like a new introduction than another chapter in a long-running local story. Whether you’ve followed his music for years or simply recognize his name from around town, this is a chance to see what O’Flaherty has in store this time around.
