Join Plants, ETC. and Bookstore for a month long celebration.

Founded in 1977, Plants, ETC. and Bookstore is Lewisburg’s oldest stores! Plants, ETC. provides community members and visitors to Lewisburg an opportunity to purchase West Virginia and regionally made art and unique collectibles featuring pottery, stained glass, beeswax candles, journals, wooden utensils, toys, towels, leatherwork, and more. Plants, ETC. is 100% woman owned and operated. However, one thing that is not for sale is the sense of joy, welcome, and whimsy once you enter their doors.

Today, the Bookstore continues the legacy of founder, Robert Head. It offers curious shoppers a special space for finding a rare selection of books that are scarce, scholarly, and out of print.

Plants, ETC. and Bookstore are celebrating their 49th birthday in August, 2026, with a grand series of events. Kicking off the month’s events are two opportunities to enjoy the beauty, artistry, joy, and community of Plants, ETC. and Bookstore.

Saturday, August 1 at 6 pm join Plants, ETC. and Dr. Rob Meyer-Kukan from 7 Notes Natural Health for a sound bath in the hidden garden. The sound bath is offered to the community FREE of charge.

Friday, August 8 from 4 – 7 pm, as part of First Friday’s after 5 in downtown Lewisburg, enjoy light refreshments, wine, and herbal tea. To mark the occasion, a celebratory ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce will take place.
