Alan Anderson, an artist celebrated for reimagining objets d’art from repurposed vintage jewelry, will be in Lewisburg on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1–6 p.m. at Robert’s Antiques and Wine Store, 1055 East Washington Street, for a special meet-and-greet event.
Since 1974, Anderson has been transforming vintage materials into unique, imaginative works of art. His uncommon ability stems from his extensive interaction with the finest fabrics, materials, and designers gained through a life-long career in exclusive and sophisticated retail. His experience with the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, the Tarbox Art Gallery in LA Jolla, Barneys of New York at Beverly Hills, as well as professional stints with Hermès, Mark Cross, and Ferragamo has instilled a sense of high design in everything he undertakes.
Beyond his artwork, Anderson has an extensive career in design and consulting spanning more than 35 years. His accomplishments include:
- Consulting on design selection with Tag Interiors at The Greenbrier, serving as assistant manager at Ralph Lauren and Greenbrier Avenue Men’s, and working as the Roberto Coin Specialist at Greenbrier Avenue Jewelers.
- Visually merchandising retail stores including Hermès, Mark Cross, Ferragamo, and most recently, The Front Porch Gift Shop and Design Center in Lewisburg.
- Serving as Director of Corporate Service and Design at Barneys of New York in Beverly Hills, where he worked with top designers in the Los Angeles area and worked with major movie studios such as Columbia Tristar, Paramount, and Warner Brothers, as well as celebrity clients including Mary Tyler Moore, Sally Field, Kelsey Grammer, Steve Martin, Billy Crystal, and Dustin Hoffman.
Yet, he states, “The greatest compliment I receive is when someone tells me, sometimes with a tear, that I have touched their life in a meaningful way by what I have created.”
Now pleased to be a part of the Lewisburg community, his work has been shown at “America’s Resort,” The Greenbrier, since 2001. He was invited to display his pieces with the Best of West Virginia Artists at Tamarack Marketplace. His work has also been displayed at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs and at the Taste of Texas in Houston. He has been a featured artist both in Carlton Varney’s article in the Palm Beach Daily, and in the 2013 Spring issue of the Greenbrier Valley Quarterly. He now reaches an international clientele in partnership with GalleriSoHo in Vasteras, Sweden.”
Don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to meet Alan, a master of imagination and design, at Robert’s Antiques and Wine Store on December 6!
