Come learn about our Wild and Wonderful as fall unfolds – with Greenbrier Master Naturalists! No experience is necessary to get involved, just a curiosity about our great outdoors. All programs are held at Wood Thrush Park (334 Richland Ln) near Lewisburg, unless noted otherwise. Individual programs are free.
Master Naturalists is a statewide program overseen by the WV DNR, with volunteer chapters hosted around the state. Appalachian Headwaters sponsors the local Greenbrier chapter. To learn more about the Master Naturalists program, visit www.mnofwv.org.

Wednesday Oct. 8th: Evening Owl Prowl

Join Appalachian Headwaters for an evening owl prowl at Wood Thrush Park!
Dr. Merri Collins will give a brief intro to our WV owl species – and then we’ll hit the ridge trail* to listen for owls! Apple cider will be served. It will be just a few nights after the October supermoon – but please do bring a light source. Some will be available. Wear shoes appropriate for a walk!
*Easy to moderate 1 mile trail hike, with some steeper slopes. All ages welcome!
