Alderson Volunteer Fire Department will hold an open house on October 4, 2025, from 10am-3pm in conjunction with the Fall Festival.

There will be fun kids’ activities, educational material, and plenty of photo opportunities. This is a great opportunity to stop by and meet your local firefighters and EMTs. You can also find out about training opportunities to become a first responder.

FALL FLING CONCERT

Alderson Volunteer Fire Department and EMS are hosting a Fall Fling Concert October 25, 2025, from 5pm-9pm. This event will be held at City Park Circle on the senior league ball field.

The entertainment for the evening will be Jack and Davis Reid (the grandsons of the Statler Brothers). The performance will include some Statler Brothers classics, songs written by Jack and Davis and a few gospel songs too. Local musical group, Tupelo Drive, will open the show at 5 pm.

The cost of the event is $10 per person. Ages 6-9 is $5. Bring a chair and a blanket (depending on the temperature).

Food and drinks will be available for purchase from Low -N- Slow Smoked Grub and concessions by AVFD.

Parking will be at the Johnson Memorial Methodist Church parking lot and the Old Greenbrier Baptist Church Parking Lot and the Monroe side of town. Trolleys will pick up all guests at these locations and will transport them to the park. No cars will be allowed in the park. Upon arrival at the event, each guest will receive a lemonade, sweet tea or water.

To add to the day’s activities, the FPC Alderson Employees Club is hosting a car show from 12-4pm at the Old Greenbrier Baptist Church Parking Lot.
