Hear ye, hear ye! From the verdant hills of Greenbrier Valley, where ancient echoes stir and faerie whispers linger, doth rise once more the merry revelry of the West Virginia Renaissance Festival! Presented by the Hanlon-Lees Action Theater and Hollow Hills Farm, this joyous gathering of mirth and marvel shall commence on the weekends of June 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, and 28-29, from the eleventh hour of morning ’til eventide at eight, at 23439 Midland Trail East, Lewisburg, WV.

Summon thy kin and journey to the village of Essex, where noble King Edward and Queen Eleanor are welcomed by the skirl of bagpipes and the thunder of hooves! In their honor, a grand joust shall be held! Along the cobbled lanes, artisans and merchants display wondrous wares, from hand-forged blades to silken finery. Delight thy senses with roasted meats, sweetmeats, and West Virginia’s finest brews, and test thy prowess at games of skill. Behold the mysteries of magic, the antics of jesters, and feats of daring by rope walkers and whip crackers. Pet beasts both humble and mythical, from gentle goats to majestic unicorns, and stroll through the enchanted forest of Broceliande, where Queen Titania herself may cast her midsummer enchantments!

Each weekend brings a new tale:

• June 7-8 — Celtic Crossing: Revel in the music of the Highlands and the rhythm of ancient drums. Don thy tartan for the Best Knees in a Kilt contest! FREE admission for veterans, active military, and first responders.
• June 14-15 — Pirates Landing: Yo ho! The village is overrun with pirates! Join the 4:00 Costume Contest in your finest (or most fearsome) buccaneer garb. Family of Four Package: $52.
• June 21-22 — Vikings Valhalla: The Norse have landed! Come clad in helm and mail, quaff fine West Virginia craft beers, and enter the Viking Costume Contest.
• June 28-29 — Bacchanalia: Togas and tankards! Celebrate the bounty of summer with tastings of local wines and meads under the pergola by the lagoon.
