Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company is hosting its second annual Picklefest on Sunday, April 27, from 1 to 8 p.m., and it’s going to be brinier and better than ever. Expect an awesome afternoon packed with live music, mouth-watering food, local craft vendors, and—of course—ice-cold beer. The best part? It’s totally free and open to the public!
After the huge success of last year’s inaugural event, Picklefest 2025 is leveling up with a pickle competition, a special beer release, and a variety of unique artisan goods.
Live music will keep the vibes flowing all day long with Been Fishin’ playing from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Herb & Hanson from 3 to 4:30 p.m., and Los Swamp Monsters closing it out from 5 to 7 p.m. Bring your dancing shoes and get ready to groove!
Foodies, rejoice! You can grab delicious eats from The Hangar, Kitchen 304, and Aunt Beckie’s Kitchen to keep you fueled up and festival-ready.
Over two dozen local vendors will be showcasing their goods—from art and jewelry to clothing and home decor. Look for favorites like Greenbrier Valley Dyes, WV Pickleguy, River & Earth Creations, Fiber and Jewels, Na’ Maste Up 247, Micks Media Jewelry, Gary Vermillion Artistry, Lutzy’s Famous Pickles, Magz Mystix, Tammy Rasnick Art, Mikes Munchies, Eddie Spaghetti Art, Wild and Untamed Things, Studio Kelsie, and so many more!
And you better believe there will be beer! The brewery is unveiling a brand-new brew, The Pickleback Sour—a twist on its Secret Sour, aged in Smooth Ambler Contradiction barrels. Plus, you can sip specialty cocktails from the Smooth Ambler Whiskey Wagon or swing by the main bar for even more tasty options.
Think your pickles are prize-worthy? Show off your skills in the pickle contest with two tasty categories: Best Cucumber Pickle and Best Non-Cucumber Pickle. Entries must be submitted by 2 p.m., and winners will be crowned at 5 p.m. Bonus: It’s totally free to enter!
