WISDOM FROM THE WOODS: LIFE LESSONS – BLESSED BY JIM SHOCK

Jims Tree

Wisdom From the Woods: Life Lessons Learned From Being Blessed.

Autumn’s age has vexed my gaze and seasons lost now lure me. Surrounded by frozen forests, brisk breezes make stiffened limbs flinch and break. Naked trees carry unbearable burdens of abandoned beauty before me. Faded and forlorn arms outstretched grasping for warmth beg an embrace.

Veins thick with frost strain carrying comfort to distant extremities. The slow flow of sentimental sap forced through pursed lips courses through clinched arteries. Tender tips, exposed roots tortured and tingling from the sting of cynicism perish. Numb, yet feeling. Chilled to the bone, trembling trees stand stoically on the horizon—hurt.

Misleadingly lifeless. Wick enough within to grow, when you know where to cut. It’s pruning time. Measure twice before the slice is experienced woodsman’s sage advice. Able arborists know a careful cut forces fickle foliage forth and leaves abounding beauty in patches of baldness.

Choose not to lumber though life. Embrace its timbre. Find your pace in the sun. Grow. Thanks to pruning self-doubts from life, I harvested amazingly sweet, high-quality fruit from my family tree. I developed a more proper shape and form. I make no apologize for “Jim”. Jim is brilliant. Jim is special. Jim is blessed. If you don’t believe me, ask my family.

Harvest the best life has to offer this Thanksgiving!
