women conference 2014

The Tenth Annual Empowering Women Conference is coming up on Thursday, June 5, at the Tamarack Conference Center in Beckley, West Virginia. The day will begin with breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and continue with networking, dynamic speakers and motivating presentations until 4 p.m.

The theme of this year’s conference is Hats Off to Real Women Stronger than Ever, and attendees are encouraged to show some “hat attitude” by wearing their favorite hats.

Kathleen DuBois will open the conference with a motivating presenting entitled Unleashing Your Power from Inside Out. DuBois is an entrepreneur, teacher and writer. She is president and founder of Progressity Inc., a full service strategic marketing, design and leadership coaching firm based in Charleston, W. Va. She recently published her first book, Monday Motivation: 52 lessons for Living the Best Year of Your Life.

Presenter Susie Galvez promises attendees “You are so going to thank me for this,” as she explores How Real Women Conceal, Find, Flaunt and Fix. Her theme is that it’s easy to be beautiful…once you know the tricks. With a flair for leaving her audiences feeling energized and ready to dive into life, Galvez is an international beauty expert, day spa founder, esthetician, makeup artist, author of nine books, international spokesperson and co-host of the Girlfriend We Gotta Talk! radio show.

Mary Foley will offer the women a chance to get acquainted with new and old friends in her session, Real Women Create New Connections. Foley inspires women with practical advice to create sanity for their lives and confidence for their careers – all while having a bit of fun. She is the author of three books, a popular national speaker and former Girlfriend We Gotta Talk! co-host.

The conference also includes practical career advice to boost your confidence, conversations with women about their journey, a fabulous Tamarack lunch and great door prizes.
