Thur, April 20: Sensi Trails “Prohibition” Tour Comes to Lewisburg!

Prepare yourselves for a high-energy reggae show on Thursday, 4/20 at the Asylum in downtown Lewisburg with Sensi Trails, a three-piece original reggae/rock/pop band from the Outer Banks (OBX) of North Carolina. DJ Byson is opening the show. They are on tour and debuting their newest EP, “Prohibition,” which is inspired by the current marijuana prohibition that continues to be a hot top coast to coast. Their tour starts in Virginia Beach on April 8th and ends in Southhampton, New York late May. If you are in Roanoke on Wednesday the 19th, see them at Matin’s Downtown.

“Album is dope!” – Robert Olsen. Via facebook.

Sensi Trails is known for their catchy lyrics and ability to get the crowd going. They play originals and some covers, including Sublime and The Movement. Band members are Kyle Rising (lead vocals/guitar) Eli Colletti (bass guitar), and Rachel Dickerson (drums/backup vocals). They came together in May 2016 when Kyle went on the search to start a reggae band in the Outer Banks. Since then, Sensi Trails has shared the stage with many nationally touring acts such as Collie Buddz, The Movement, Sundried Vibes, and Through the Roots.

They opened for Collie Buddz at a concert last summer. Buddz is a popular reggae artist from Bermuda and exploded onto the scene a few years ago when critics and tastemakers alike embraced him – Spin Magazine proclaiming, “Buddz proves the pop rule : Catchiness transcends color.” Sensi Trails tell us that the crowd was very responsive during their opening performance and they also got to hang out with Buddz going onto say that he is such a nice guy! Check out Collie Buddz new single: “Good Life” at CollieBuddz.com.

“Listening on #spotify right now, digging the vibes, definitely interested in some merch, what u got?” – @mitchydread, via instagram.

Kyle says his favorite song on their new EP is “Dirty Couch.” He tells us, “It was inspired by all the times I’ve partied with friends and ended up sleeping in some strange places like under the pier, in the bed of a truck, or on someone’s dirty couch. I basically got tired of waking up not knowing where I am and not being able to find my personal belongings. I really like playing this song live and we have gotten great response from this song.” You can find this song and the entire “Prohibition” EP on i-Tunes, Google play, Spotify, and Amazon.

The Asylum in Lewisburg became a stop on the tour because Kyle used to live there and absolutely loves the town. He tells us, “I haven’t been there in so long and we already had some dates out that way so I figured why not hit Lewisburg!” Kyle has also been friends with DJ Byson for a very long time and can’t wait to see him and all his old friends.

While you’re at the show, make sure you support the band and buy their merch! They will have Sensi-Trails t-shirts, tank tops, hoodies, crop tops, beanies, snap back hats, stickers, coozies, and glass stash jars. To learn more about the band and see their full tour schedule, follow them on facebook, instagram, and twitter @SensiTrails. The Asylum is located at 114 E. Randolph Street in downtown Lewisburg.
