Sun. May 18: Wine For Wags & Whiskers

WRVMAY5

On Sunday, May 18th, you and your animal loving friends are invited to Watt’s Roost Vineyard for a special event supporting the dogs and cats of Monroe County. The Monroe County Animal League (MCAL) is hosting this event and festivities from 2pm till 5pm. Admission is $35 and includes 2 glasses of Watt’s Roost award-winning wine, a complimentary glass you can take home, a food tasting provided by Davis-Stuart School of Culinary students, live music, and a tour of the winery. There will also be a silent auction and a raffle!

Whether you are connoisseur of wine or a lover of all animals, you will enjoy this event. It supports a wonderful cause and you get to enjoy the afternoon on a beautiful vineyard with grazing sheep and overlooking the blossoming of the valley and its ever-greening rolling hills.

Since this is an afternoon event, you can plan your dinner by purchasing Greenbrier Cotswold lamb in various cuts inside the winery. Cuts include: ground, ribs chops, sirloin or loin chops, shanks, kebobs, arm chops, Denver ribs, sausage, leg steaks, and the delectable rack of lamb.

In the past 10 years, MCA, a non-profit organization, has sprayed/neutered over 4,000 animals.

Help support this worthy cause and have an enjoyable afternoon at Wine for Wags and Whiskers! Watt’s Roost is located on Muddy Creek Mountain at 2245 Blue Sulphur Pike, Lewisburg WV. Please RSVP to 304-772-4400 or 304-772-4445 by May 8.
