Stuart’s Smokehouse in Alderson, WV

Where there’s smoke there’s something special cooking in Alderson, WV. Since opening April 15, 2005, Stuart’s Smokehouse has become a favorite stop for hungry locals, tourists and “drifters” making their way down The Greenbrier River. The restaurant’s relaxing riverside locale, casual vibe and friendly staff make Stuart’s Smokehouse a truly one-of-a kinds dining experience in Greenbrier County.

You’ll enjoy a bit of the beach in the middle of the mountains, in the atmosphere and on the menu. Owner Stuart Brugh created an extensive menu of fresh seafood and steaks, traditional bar fare and some of the flat out best barbecue for miles. From his signature ribs to melt-in-your-mouth beef brisket and pulled pork, Stuart personally oversees the smoking process, which takes anywhere from 7 to 13 hours.

While his homemade rub is a carefully guarded secret, his philosophy for success isn’t. “The customer has to happy,” said Brugh. “I want to see them smile and I want to see it again and again.” And Stuart’s Smokehouse offers plenty of reasons to come back. There are dozens of delicious offerings on the menu, from appetizers, entrees, sandwiches and salads, and daily entertainment and dining specials include all-you-can-eat seafood and ribs on Friday.

Asked for his recommendation, Brugh said, “If you’re going to order one thing when you’re here, get the brisket!”

Stuart’s Smokehouse also delivers to the Alderson area as well as to businesses in Fairlea and Lewisburg. For more information about daily and nightly specials, call 304-446=3294. Or, you can text STUARTS at 25827 (CLUBS), to get weekly updates on your phone from Stuart’s Smokehouse.
