Oct 17-19: Fall Foliage Festival in Clifton Forge!

FALL FOLIAGE FEST 2014

Each year October heralds the magnificent beauty and abundance of the Alleghany Highlands’ forest and mountains. You are invited to to Clifton Forge, Virginia to view the splendor of Autumn foliage and browse through the many exhibits and shows in downtown Clifton Forge.

From Friday the 17th until Sunday the 19th, local civic groups and organizations will provide a myriad of refreshments made on premises, including fresh doughnuts, country ham sandwiches, roast beef sandwiches, home baked goods, hamburgers and hot-dogs.

Musical performances will be held almost nonstop from such diverse types of genres as gospel, country, blue grass, rock bands, and local high school performances(s).

There will be several crafts such as handmade jewelry, wooden toys, quilts, Christmas ornaments, wood carvings, and leather goods. You will find a variety of antiques and collectibles: glassware, furniture, books, silverware, pottery, china, and more.

The Alleghany Highlands Arts & Crafts Center organizes and will administer an open art show awarding prizes in seven categories – oil and acrylic, watercolor, graphics, drawings, mixed media, fiber, and photography.

Check out this year’s Fall Foliage Festival. You will celebrate friendship, family and fraternity with social activities and provide support, both monetarily and by volunteer service to the “Worlds Greatest Philanthropy”, the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children. This event is sponsored by The Clifton Forge Shrine Club.
