March 4th, and 5th, The Greenbrier Sporting Club will host a fly fishing celebration to help wounded warriors and serviceman of the United States military. Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) began in 2005 serving wounded service members at Walter Reed Army Medical Center returning from combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Since then, PHWFF has expanded nationwide, establishing its highly successful program in Department of Defense hospitals, Warrior Transition Units, and Veterans Affairs Medical Centers and clinics. In conjunction with local fly fishing guides, such as Demian Wiles, Jacob Ott, and Craig Miller, upwards of 20 PHWFF participants will be paired up on an one basis during the light hearted and memorable program. The two day event will be conducted on the private trout fishing waters of Howard’s Creek.
