Lewisburg WV First Friday November 2015

Check out downtown Lewisburg on First Friday in November, held November 6th starting 5pm. There will be complimentary treats at various shops, live music, and holiday shopping deals! Here is the list:

Mary Hurst Invocations at Carnegie Hall, Lewisburg WV

Carnegie Hall and its featured artists will host opening receptions in each of its three gallery spaces. In the Museum Gallery is Agnes Carbrey and Ryan Russell’s exhibit entitled “Ten Years”. On display in the Auditorium Gallery are a collection of photographs entitled “Following the Light” by Pamela Withrow, and in the Old Stone Room is Mary Hurst’s exhibit “Invocations” (art above by Mary Hurst), comprised of vibrant and highly detailed oil paintings. Carnegie is on Church Street.

Love Child will offers Children’s Story Time at 6pm and as a special treat, discover an irresistible jewelry offer! They are at 124 W. Washington Street.

Front Porch Oct 2015

Located beside the Livery, The Front Porch invites you to enjoy a glass of wine, fresh baked refreshments and great jazz! A percentage of all proceeds for the evening will benefit Lewisburg HospiceCare.

The General Lewis Inn invites you to enjoy Hot Buttered Rum samples and a free glass of wine with dinner.

Bella the Corner Gourmet Lewisburg WV

Located on the corner of Jefferson and Washington Street, Bella the Corner Gourmet will have samples of Santa Julia’s red and white wine and Tulip Hill Creamery’s Haymaids cheese! While you are here, enter to WIN a Bissinger’s handcrafted chocolate turkey. It is free to enter and will be given away on November 19th.

The Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center will feature an evening of art and music. Enjoy the tunes of area favorite Strum Sum Band. The November “Art in the Valley” exhibit will premiere the show “Color Obsessed”– watercolors by local artist Diane Mitchell. Stop in to meet Diane and view her collection of unique paintings. A representative from HospiceCare will also be present to talk with folks about the 17th Annual “Toast to Hospice” wine auction to be held at the Visitors Center on November 7, 2015.

Asylum Lewisburg, WV

The Asylum is opening their cozy basement bar for First Friday’s. Stop in for a peek! Also, enjoy a performance by Rob Jones from Beckley, in the main bar from 9pm to midnight.

Show Your Colors is offering a FREE West Virginia hat with any purchase over $50! They are located across from the Bakery on N Court Street.

Also on N Court Street (beside Show your Colors) is The Pepper Shed. They will get in the fall mood by soothing your palette with a savory pumpkin dip served with ginger snaps or pretzels. Located beside Greenbrier Valley Baking Co. on N. Jefferson St, Plants Etc. will host live music by the Herding Cats.

Sweet Shoppe Lewisburg, WV
