Future Doc: Body Scars by Dr. Timothy Pence

In the last Future Doc column I introduced the five common stressors or burdens that may prevent or slow healing. When present, these factors can wreak havoc even in those that nourish their bodies well. Most of us have likely known someone that passed away prematurely despite their having done “all the right things”. Perhaps one or more of these common stressors existed but were undetected? These burdens are so prevalent that I routinely check for the presence and impact of these stressors in my Future Doc practice. Again the five common stressors include heavy metals, toxic chemicals, hidden immune challenges, food sensitivities, and scars. In this article I’ll elaborate more about body scars.

It has become more widely known that electromagnetic fields and circuit like pathways exist within, on the surface, and around the body. Common examples would be EKG’s and EEG’s which measure and record electrical activity on the surface. These pathways serve as communication channels that help to coordinate body and organ function.

From the field of acupuncture has come the knowledge that body surface scars can disrupt body energy and communication pathways, and thereby disrupt bodily function. The most common active scars result from injuries and surgeries. Additionally, piercings, tattoos, tooth extractions, and scaring due to vaccinations are not uncommon offending scars. In my Future Doc practice we often find offending scars located at a distance far from the primary area of complaint or dysfunction. Some examples; A C-section scar contributing to a thyroid problem, a left knee scar causing weakness in the right knee, a tattoo on the upper back contributing to a stomach problem, ect. As I’ve said before … “anything can cause anything”.

In the next Future Doc article, there will be more about the other common stressors.

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and the cause and prevention of disease.” Thomas A. Edison (1847-1931)
