BADLANDS Bluegrass Festival June 14 & 15

Fill the hills and valleys this June 14th & 15th at Badlands Bluegrass Festival held at the Poor Farm Festival Grounds, in Williamsburg, West Virginia. This two-day event will feature 15 bands including regional country and bluegrass acts.

New this year is a Tie Dye Tunnel for kids and adults, sponsored by Spiral Light Productions. Along with that they’ll have a black-light painter who does art on canvas, hats, and t-shirts called CloudyButClear by artist Bryan Bailey of Roanoke who will help bring the Tie Dye Tunnel to Life at night! There will also be a new face painter with adult and child versions of Facepainting to offer. And 4 food venders, with 2 offering meat-free choices! Stuart’s Smokehouse will be serving food and alcohol. Menu items include: brisket, pulled pork, roasted corn, hog balls, hamburgers, hot dogs, and Nehi bottled drinks.

Among several other talented artists, West Virginia’s own Taylor Made (pictured) will be hitting the Badlands stage both nights. This group recently accepted an award for “Independent artist of the Year” in Music Row Magazine’s Country Breakout Awards. Among other award recipients were Dierks Bentley for Male artist of the year, Miranda Lambert for female artist of the year, and Zac Brown Band for Group/Duo of the Year.
